PM Modi’s UK Visit: Focus on Free Trade, Khalistani Threat, and Fugitive Offenders
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a two-day official visit to the United Kingdom starting Wednesday, and it's shaping up to be more than just handshakes and photo-ops. While the spotlight will be on the much-anticipated signing of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), there are a few other critical matters on the table that India is keen to push forward.
One of the top priorities for the Indian delegation will be raising concerns about the rise of pro-Khalistani activities on British soil. India has repeatedly expressed its discomfort over extremist elements using the UK as a base to stir unrest and promote separatist ideologies.
